Empire Mates Entertainment, better known as EME, is leading the African urban music revolution and redefining what is considered African music. The 2011 Empire World Order Tour (EWO Tour) is the latest innovative project and radically ushers in their new model. In wanting the entire world to witness the same live music experience that fans based in Africa get to enjoy, EME knew they could not depend on the existing traditional model of scaled down performances and show production that international fans were use to viewing. By financing the tour, working with a dynamic media company for production & logistics, leveraging their social media platforms and online partnerships, and aligning with the best promoters in each tour city for market intelligence and promotions; the tour is now a reality.
For the just price of a concert ticket, tour attendees will receive admission to the concert and a free copy of SuperStar, the debut album of EME’s recording artist and budding musical phenomenon, WIZKID. SuperStar has quickly become the most anticipated album of 2011 after WIZKID’s 3 singles became overnight hits. With three consecutive #1 Singles (‘Holla At Your Boy’, ‘Tease Me’ and ‘Dont Dull’), WIZKID has quickly become a household name.
The 2011 EWO Tour will be headlined by award-winning songwriter, singer, producer and multi-platinum R&B superstar Banky W, WIZKID and will introduce rapper and wordsmith Skales. June 24th, 2011 The tour kicks off in Washington DC at the Lincoln Theatre and promises to be the musical event of the year. Built in 1922, this historic venue has hosted legendary artists Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday and most recently Alicia Keys. The EWO Tour has partnered with SOSO Selective and The F.I.V.E Company (Official EWO Tour Partner) to promote and market the concert and the Official After Party.
