Silas Mokgatlhe aka Silas Africa – a South African, Soweto born (9th/04/95) and bred vocalist and songwriter, who prides himself in the versatility of his craft. Silas Africa started singing at a young age of 4. His inspiration came from his single mother, who was an opera singer locally and internationally. 

The year 2010 (Age 15), He started writing music and Silas broke into our TV screens as it gave him his first public breakout, It was then when he captured the nation’s souls leading him to building a reputable name for himself. Silas Africa quickly became a favourite to a massive audience converting them into fans. 

2018 saw Silas Africa successfully releasing a mash up cover of ”Bamthathile/Amablesser” by renowned artists – Mlindo the Vocalist and Sun-El Musician, which did well and received 15K+ views on YouTube. 2019 he acquired a nomination at the Golden Arts and Media Awards (GAMAs) as the “Best Up & coming Artist” and since then he’s been working with most upcoming producers and artists from South Africa, Lesotho and Zim.
